AI infrastructure walks are community events to collectively explore nearby emerging digital infrastructures and learn about their societal and economic implications inspired by Ingrid Burrington's Networks of New York (2016). Equipped with field guides to discover nearby AI-related technologies, participants investigate objects, digital systems and socio-material conditions behind AI end-user interfaces. Past AI walks focussed on fiber-optic cable networks, various types of data centers and submarine cable landing stations.
