AI Infrastructure walks are participatory events in the form of real-world field guides to AI-related digital infrastructure in public spaces, guiding participants to investigate objects, digital systems and socio-material conditions behind AI end-user interfaces. Past AI walks focussed on fiber-optic cable networks, various types of data centers and submarine cable landing stations. AI infrastructure walks are inspired by Ingrid Burrington's early work on Networks of New York (2016).
